PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is safe after crashing into a power pole while paragliding in Phoenix on Sunday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m., Phoenix Fire crews were called to the area of 7th Street and Thunderbird Road after it was reported that a paraglider had hit a power pole and was stuck on a power line.

Crews arrived at the scene, where they found a man had crashed into a power pole but was able to get out of his harness and onto a rock. Phoenix Fire assisted the man in getting off the rock and down the mountain. He was evaluated at the scene and refused to go to the hospital.
Phoenix Fire says no injuries were reported.
