Novak Djokovic is arguably the greatest tennis player of all time, but how did his brothers perform on the ATP Tour?

Djokovic’s two younger brothers, Marko Djokovic and Djordje Djokovic, both played professional tennis.

Djordje Djokovic didn’t have quite as much success as his two older brothers, winning just one ATP Tour match, alongside Novak Djokovic, at the 2015 China Open.

Marko Djokovic, on the other hand, played and won several matches in singles and doubles throughout his career.

He partnered the 24-time Grand Slam champion at seven ATP tournaments between 2007 and 2019, but how many matches did they win together?

The sibling duo first teamed up at the 2007 Croatia Open in Umag, where they took on Mathieu Moncourt and Edouard Roger-Vaselin in round one.

Losing in straight sets, the Djokovics fell at the first hurdle in Croatia.

They lost in the first round of the Thailand Open a year later and in the first round of the 2009 Croatia Open.

A fourth straight-sets defeat followed in the 2011 Dubai Tennis Championships first round, but things started to improve when they returned to the UAE in 2013.

Taking on Nikolay Davydenko and Dick Norman in round one, Marko and Novak Djokovic won their first set together, 6-4, but eventually lost 4-10 in a match tiebreaker.

After a five-year break, the Djokovic brothers returned to the doubles court in 2018 at the Qatar Open.

It was there that they finally clinched their maiden win together, improving their record to 1-5, with a victory over Mubarak Zayid and Cem Ilkel.

Building on that performance, the brothers won their quarterfinal match 7-5, 3-6 [10-7] to book their place in the 2018 Qatar Open semifinals.

Narrowly missing out on a place in the final, Marko and Novak lost to David Goffin and Pierre-Hugues Herbert 13-15 in a thrilling match tiebreaker.

They made one final appearance together at the 2019 Monte-Carlo Masters, losing in straight sets to the Colombian duo of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the first round.

Marko Djokovic retired from tennis in 2019 with a 2-7 record alongside his older brother.

They didn’t exactly tear things up as a doubles team, but has Novak Djokovic ever won a title in the discipline?

In 2010, Djokovic entered the Queen’s Club Championship doubles tournament alongside Israel’s Jonathan Erlich.

The Serb has played several doubles events since, including two in 2025.

Djokovic was last seen on the doubles court at the Qatar Open, when he partnered a retiring Fernando Verdasco to his final-ever win, in straight sets against Alexander Bublik and Karen Khachanov.

Whether we will see Djokovic play any more doubles in the future remains to be seen, but it will certainly be something to look out for.
