Downtown Houston is getting a fall makeover as the Houston Pumpkin Festival returns to Discovery Green from now through November 2.
Visitors can enjoy a full slate of family-friendly activities, games, and photo opportunities designed to celebrate the season.
The festival transforms the urban park into a lively, farmland-inspired experience, featuring dozens of attractions for all ages. Highlights include the world’s largest bouncy pumpkin, which spans more than 2,000 square feet, a huge corn pit, and over 50 varieties of pumpkins for Instagram-ready photos.
Other festival favorites include crystal kayaks illuminated with vibrant LEDs, Cinderella’s carriage, massive yellow duck and pumpkin houses, Tree Net Climber, water activities, and a variety of interactive photo spots such as the Pink Tree of Life, Sunflower Walk, and Butterfly Chair.
The festival runs Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $18 per person on weekdays and $26 per person on weekends, while children 3 and under are free. Due to high demand, walk-up tickets are unlikely, so organizers strongly recommend reserving tickets in advance.
Guests are advised to arrive early, especially during peak hours, to fully experience the festival, as new visitors may be restricted from entry up to an hour before closing to ensure everyone enjoys the attractions.
The Houston Pumpkin Festival is located at Lindsey Waterside Landing on the northeast side of Discovery Green, bordering Kinder Lake.
