ESPN’s College GameDay is coming to Happy Valley this Saturday, so our staff got together and we asked the question: who should the Penn State-centric guest picker be?

I would personally love to see Ty Burrell since he has his foot in both camps. I love KMK and Saquon (and they are both popular), but it’s time for someone else. Phil Dunphy has enough mass appeal that ESPN could think of him as an option.

If he’s not available, I’d be okay with Spice. Ali Krieger, or Bruce Banner (He’s fictional, you say? Oh well.).

I’d like to see Lisa Salters get the nod. A 1988 graduate of Penn State, Salters was also on the Lady Lions basketball team back in her day. Since then, she’s become the preeminent sideline reporter in sports. She’s currently working on Monday Night Football, so perhaps the travel (MNF is in Miami this coming Monday) is a barrier to getting her in State College on Saturday, but maybe ESPN can find (and fund) a small private plane for Salters to make the quick trip.

I think Keegan Michael Key has done enough. Thank you but maybe instead have another feature where you play James Franklin. Other options could be:

Some off the wall choices could be:

I’m really staying football related in saying Paul Posluszny. The now College Football Hall of Famer starred in one of the original iterations of the White Out back in 2005. So, having him on set in 2025, a retired player, a legendary linebacker at PSU, would be perfect. Plus, Pat McAfee is used to hanging with AJ Hawk, so he might as well spend some time around the best linebacker in college football circa 2005.

I have two suggestions, both non-football:
