“I showed up to the party and there was somebody that had been on the ropes in terms of getting canceled,” the “Anyone But You” actor shared on Jake Shane’s “Therapuss” podcast Wednesday.

“It was one of those Hollywood parties where there’s like cameras and press and all that stuff.”

Glen Powell detailed an uncomfortable moment he had with a “toxic” celebrity who was “recently canceled.”

“I showed up to the party and there was somebody that had been on the ropes in terms of getting canceled,” the “Anyone But You” actor shared on Jake Shane’s “Therapuss” podcast Wednesday.

He added, “This person had made some of my favorite movies and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great.’ He came up and he said, ‘Nice to meet you.’ I was like, ‘Oh, dude. Such a big fan.’”

As Powell, 36, chatted with the celebrity, whose name he did not disclose, a photographer asked if they would take a picture together, which made the “Twisters” star hesitant.

“This person was recently canceled and it was not good. I was a fan of their work but not a fan of their choices,” he explained.

“So, I was kind of just being nice. But then, when they wanted to take a picture with you, I realized very quickly — I was like, ‘Ooh, I don’t know if this is a good idea,’” Powell recalled.

The “Top Gun: Maverick” actor said the celebrity “clearly clocked” his hesitation; however, Powell maintained his decision.

“I realized, this guy, his face is toxic,” he recalled. “Going out into the world, people are having a visceral reaction to this person in terms of the bad choice they’ve made.”

Powell then compared the unknown star to Russ Holiday, his character on “Chad Powers,” a football star who got canceled and disguised himself to join another football team to revive his career.

“Russ Holliday is just a guy that made a mistake. He’s not a bad guy. Some of these other people that get canceled, they should lie where they’re shot,” Powell claimed.

Page Six has reached out to Powell’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
