The Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP 48th Annual Dr. George D. Flemmings Freedom Fund Celebration returns on Saturday, October 11, at the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA in Fort Worth. This year, in lieu of a banquet, experience the red carpet premiere of Unlocked Voices: Bridging the Future, a historical documentary.
Commissioned by the Fort Worth Tarrant County NAACP, this captivating film features the accomplishments and contributions of eight iconic citizens of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, each with remarkable stories that have shaped our future in profound ways. Don’t miss the chance to connect with Dr. Opal Lee, Hon. Lorraine C. Miller, the Late Judge L. Clifford Davis, Hon. Mattie Peterson Compton, Rev. Floyd Moody, Norma Roby, Estella Williams, and Judge Louis Sturns for this American story of endurance, strength, and pride told in their own words .. in their own voices.
