Ahmir Phoenix Beck, the beloved two-month-old son, of Twila Jada Dodds and Darryl E. Beck Sr. and cherished twin brother of Dhamir Eugene Beck, was born on July 9, 2025. He passed peacefully into the arms of God on September 21, 2025 greeted at heavens gate by his great grandmother, Betty Colegrove and grandfather, Eden Hudson.
From his very first day in the womb, Ahmir was a fighter. He was surrounded by love and lifted in prayer every single day of his life. On his final day, he was cradled in his mother’s arms, embraced with warmth and devotion, until he entered his eternal home.
Though his time on earth was brief, Ahmir made an everlasting impact. He was vibrant, wide-eyed, and curious, a little “wiggle butt” who didn’t like to stay still. His nosy nature, sparkling eyes, and radiant smile could light up any room. Ahmir was active, lively, and born to live fully, reminding those around him that there was something truly special about his spirit. He was a warrior in every sense, a precious soul whose light will never fade.
Ahmir’s family takes comfort in knowing that while his journey here was short, his presence brought immeasurable love, joy, and memories that will forever be held close in their hearts.
Surviving in addition to this mother and twin brother are his brothers, Amaziah Iziah Eden Dodds and Dha’ki Abdullah Eugene Beck, Darryl E. Beck Jr. and Derrick E. Beck Sr.; his auntie mama, Sandreyah Helt; uncle, Phoenix Dodds; God mother, Jackie Colegrove; God sister, Zahkeyya Colegrove; grandmother, Diana Johnson; Nana, Melinda Dodds; Momma E and numerous cousins and a large group of extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor Ahmir’s life will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 3, at Central Baptist Church, 601 Seventh Ave., Williamsport. Private burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery.
