The Storyline

Portland and FC Dallas will face off for the second and final time this season and the 32nd time in the all-time MLS series. The Timbers hold a record of 9-12-10 in regular season play against the Frisco, Texas-based club.

In their last meeting on August 9, 2025, Portland suffered a 2-0 loss to Dallas at Toyota Stadium. It was the Timbers’ fifth match in a 16-day span, spanning both MLS and the Leagues Cup tournament.

Portland is 1-2-2 in their last five meetings with FC Dallas in MLS, registering four goals and allowing six. However, in the Rose City, the Timbers hold a 8-1-5 record over FCD with their one and only loss to Dallas at home happening over nine years ago on April 13, 2016.

Portland is 4-0-3 in the seven meetings between the two at Providence Park since. The Timbers have gone on to outscore Dallas 6-1 in those games. Notably, the last time FCD registered a goal at Providence Park was on August 6, 2022 – a 1-1 draw.
