While temperatures have fallen from the upper 90s experienced earlier this week, it’s still expected to be warmer than normal for the opening weekend of the State Fair of Texas.

According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, the high for the last few days of September has a 30-year average of 85 degrees. Saturday and Sunday have respective highs of 89 and 88 degrees.

Despite that somewhat unwelcome news, it will likely still feel more refreshing across the Dallas-Fort Worth area due to significantly lower humidity.

Skies should be clear throughout the weekend, without a chance of rain in sight over the next seven days. Rain chances are also expected to stay below normal for the next several weeks, according to the Climate Prediction Center.
