PHOENIX — Two Valley animal rescues are offering free pet adoptions this weekend due to limited space in their care facilities, according to press releases.
Arizona Humane Society is featuring the deal on Saturday only for all pets 6 months and older, and Arizona Animal Welfare League is running the deal both Saturday and Sunday for dogs of all ages.
The AHS special offer will be available at all three of its Phoenix locations. Each is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
AAWL currently has more than 60 pooches up for free adoption at its primary Phoenix campus located at 40th and Washington streets.
It is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The two major rescues are both no-kill animal shelters.
AHS recently estimated that it will house about 24,000 pets in 2025.
We want to hear from you.
