Fire Saturday damaged the attic and first floor of a one-story hillside home in the Echo Park community of Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 5:39 a.m. to 1002 N. Everett St. had the fire out within 27 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Firefighters faced a challenging roof ventilation operation due to the tiled roof,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
