SAN ANTONIO — Thousands of fans are flocking to the Alamodome for Chris Brown’s concert on Saturday, but parking remains a significant concern.

The concert, part of the Breezy Bowl XX, is set to begin at 7 p.m., and the area is already bustling with fans sporting Chris Brown shirts. East Cesar Chavez Boulevard is experiencing heavy congestion, as anticipated by Alamodome representatives.

Richard Oliver from the Alamodome noted that the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has implemented traffic plans to alleviate congestion.

These plans direct traffic from the west of the 37 to the east, where the Alamodome is located, utilizing roads further north and south of East Cesar Chavez Blvd. Oliver says this, with the help of VIA’s buses, has reduced congestion during events over the past year.

Despite these efforts, parking remains limited, with only 2,800 spots available for the expected 45,000 attendees. Many concertgoers have opted to avoid the parking hassle by not bringing their cars.

Earlier this month, residents near the Alamodome expressed concerns about VIA buses causing traffic. However, the buses have since been relocated to the north and west sides of the venue to mitigate these issues.
