SAN ANTONIO — The annual Rey Feo Super Hero River Parade is lighting up the River Walk, drawing thousands of spectators on Saturday evening.

The parade, which began at 7 p.m. and will run through 10 p.m., is part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Rey Feo, translated to “Ugly King” in English, is a Fiesta-related non-profit organization that dates back to 1947.

Each float in the parade supports scholarships for local students. The elaborately decorated floats feature popular superheroes as well as real-life heroes, including first responders and law enforcement. For more information on the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, click here.
