Glendale experienced a summer of business success as several new openings drew strong community support and high customer engagement. From beverages and entertainment to retail, the wave of openings highlights Glendale’s growth as a destination for commerce, leisure and lifestyle.
HTeaO, a Texas-based iced tea franchise, opened its first Arizona location to eager crowds at Westgate. Since its debut, the store has become one of the top-ranked locations nationally, offering more than 20 freshly brewed flavors and daily BOGO happy hours from 2–4 p.m.
“We are beyond thankful for the incredible support received by the Glendale community,” said owner Justin “JT” Turner. He added that partnerships with Westgate, the city and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce have created opportunities to engage with local schools, first responders and community programs.
Entertainment venue Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has become a major draw since opening in late April. Featuring high-speed electric karting, virtual reality experiences, arcade games, and upscale dining, the Glendale location has welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors and generated $6.2 million in total sales, exceeding its target by $200,000. Group sales contributed $867,000, with $2.2 million from track sales, $1.2 million from arcade games and $600,000 in food sales. The location employs 200 hourly team members.
“Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is proud to bring a premier entertainment destination to the West Valley,” said General Manager Ryan Glaus. “We host corporate functions, private celebrations, and large-scale gatherings, providing the perfect setting for any occasion.”
Retail also thrived this summer with the arrival of Arizona’s first James Avery Artisan Jewelry store at Arrowhead Towne Center. Known for handcrafted designs and meaningful pieces, the store has exceeded foot traffic expectations. Karina Dolgin, chief product and revenue officer, said the opening allows Arizona customers to experience the brand’s signature personal service and craftsmanship.
“Glendale’s growth is evident with the many new business openings we’ve celebrated this summer and those still to come,” said Mayor Jerry P. Weiers. “Our Economic Development team continues to address the needs of our community, ensuring residents and visitors alike benefit.”
Among other notable contributors was Porsche Arrowhead, which opened its doors on Sept. 8, with a formal grand opening planned later this fall.
Looking ahead, Glendale anticipates additional openings in 2025, including 99 Ranch Market, Dick’s House of Sports, HTeaO (Bell Road), Kendra Scott, LivAway Suites, Mattel Adventure Park, Mensho Ramen, Moxy Hotel, Pickleman’s Gourmet Café, QTS & Aligned Data Centers, Ricemill, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Tesla Collision Center, Tractor Supply, VAI Resort and Woodspring Suites.
