SAN ANTONIO – A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a South Texas casino.
On Sunday, 34-year-old Keyran Rashad Jones, a former National Guard member living in San Antonio, was arrested in Wilson County.
Jones is accused of two counts of Capital Murder, as well as four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, after allegedly opening fire inside the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, at around 7:40 p.m., Texas DPS had attempted to stop a black Nissan truck near Stockdale.
During the pursuit, DPS Troopers reportedly used their firearms in an attempt to stop the suspect’s vehicle near a Circle K location.
“With a partially disabled vehicle, the suspect continued to flee as DPS troopers joined by deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office pursued him on SH 123 and then Eastbound onto FM 1347,” said the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect was taken into custody after a successful pit maneuver while attempting to flee law enforcement on FM 1347.

Following the arrest of Keyran Rashad Jones, law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation into the deadly shooting at the Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass.
Two are dead, and five others are injured, according to Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber.
The FBI, along with the Department of Public Safety, executed a search warrant at Jones’s apartment in San Antonio. He lives in an apartment complex on Patricia Road, where agents and troopers were seen gathering evidence.
Sources confirm to us that Jones was previously a member of the National Guard. However, it is unclear at this time whether he was ever stationed or served in Eagle Pass.
The investigation remains ongoing.
