One person was killed and several others were injured Sunday following a hit-and-run crash in the Boyle Heights area, authorities said.

Police responded to the crash around 4:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Chicago Street.

At least one person was dead and three other women were injured in the collision, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Following the crash, a driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene.

Newschopper4 was over the crash site, which showed one of the vehicles overturned and a pickup truck with significant front-end damage.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash. A stretch of Chicago Street was closed for the crash investigation.

No arrests have been made.
