Abdul Carter on Jaxson Dart after Giants win over Los Angeles Chargers

Linebacker Abdul Carter talks about QB Jaxson Dart after the Giants’ first win of season on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025 over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Cam Skattebo is fast becoming a fan favorite in New York and that doesn’t come as a surprise to Arizona State football fans, who quickly came to love the running back during his time with the Sun Devils.

In Sunday’s 21-18 win over the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Chargers, Skattebo rushed 25 times for 79 yards, while adding two catches for 11 yards and helping the Giants win their first game of the season.

He also rushed for a key two-point conversion that gave the Giants a 21-10 lead in the third quarter, celebrating with a backflip, which is becoming his signature move.

Interestingly, two Giants teammates credited Skattebo with bringing “juice” to the Giants’ offense.

‘Brings the juice:’ What Jaxson Dart, Andrew Thomas said about Cam Skattebo

“I just think that we play very (similarly), like, mentality-wise,” New York rookie QB Jaxson Dart told reporters after the win, via the New York Post. “I need to be smarter in the open field, taking some hits and whatnot, but when you have a guy like that who just kinda brings the juice every single day and gives it his all, the guys around him want to play harder. And off the field, we just have a really cool connection.”

Said offensive lineman Andrew Thomas: “Tough, as usual. That’s just how he is. He brings that juice to our offense.”

‘Will never forget where he came from:’ Cam Skattebo praised for remembering roots

While Skattebo may be juicing up the Giants in the NFL, he evidently hasn’t forgotten his roots.

Burrito Express, the company that gave Skattebo his first NIL deal in Arizona, posted on social media Sunday that Skattebo “hit us with a FaceTime today.”

The post added: “The kid @camskattebo5 will never forget where he came from … Proud to say @Burritoexp was his first NIL deal and he still got love.”

Yeah, it’s not hard to see why Skattebo is a fan favorite.
