Liam Coen, Jacksonville Jaguars coach, speaks after defeating 49ers

Liam Coen spoke with reporters after the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the San Francisco 49ers 26-21 in NFL Week 4.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Kansas City Chiefs in a rare “Monday Night Football” home game on Oct. 6 at EverBank Stadium.

Football fans will be intrigued by the 3-1 Jaguars, one of the pleasant surprises of the NFL, hosting the Chiefs, featuring all-time great Patrick Mahomes and the defending AFC champions.

But the biggest star in the house that night may not be on the field. Might the most well-known NFL WAG in the world make an appearance?

Let’s see what the chances are that music icon Taylor Swift, who will very soon be Mrs. Travis Kelce, will be at the Jaguars game:

Will Taylor Swift be in Jacksonville for Monday Night Football?

With apologies to all those who love Duval, the signs point toward no.

Taylor Swift, seemingly a fixture at Chiefs games for the last couple of seasons has only been to a pair of NFL games this season. Both have been at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs. That includes the Sept. 28 game against the Baltimore Ravens, for which Swift reportedly snuck into the building without much fanfare. She was coming from the Selena Gomez-Benny Blanco wedding in California.

Swift was not spotted at the Chiefs’ season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Mexico nor the “Sunday Night Football” game against the New York Giants in New Jersey.

Who is Taylor Swift’s fiancé?

Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce announced their engagement in August. The date of their nuptuals is not yet known.

Kelce, 35, is one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, ranking third all-time in receptions and receiving yards, and fifth all-time in touchdown catches at the position. He has been a key cog in the Chiefs’ three Super Bowl wins and two other appearances since 2020.

Taylor Swift’s busy week

It may be hard to blame Swift for not making it to EverBank Stadium for the game. On Oct. 3, her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” drops. The accompanying motion picture for the album hits select theaters across the country on the same day.

If you’re wondering, Swift reportedly doesn’t currently have any plans for a music tour. And if you’re also wondering, she reportedly turned down the chance to perform at the next Super Bowl in February in Santa Clara, California. That gig went to Bad Bunny.

Maybe she’s keeping her calendar open to be rooting as a fan?

Swift’s Eras Tour didn’t make it to the First Coast in 2024, but before she became a music megastar, Swift has performed in the area.

The first show was on Aug. 10, 2007, when she performed inside Veterans Memorial Arena in a concert headlined by Brad Paisley.

She played the same venue on May 1, 2009, along with Kellie Pickler — also a performer in the 2007 Jacksonville concert — as a stop on her Fearless tour.

Swift’s most recent Jacksonville concert came on Nov. 11, 2011, part of her Speak Now tourFans waited in line outside the arena beginning at 6 a.m. to watch a performance highlighted by “ballet dancers and flying stages and aerial acrobats swinging from enormous bells.”
