A federal judge in Arizona put the brakes on the Trump administration’s attempt to deport dozens of unaccompanied children from Guatemala and Honduras. The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, an Arizona nonprofit that represents more than 600 children, said that the children they represent had been placed on planes to return them to their home country. The judge questioned whether the government had made any real effort to reunite the children with their parents or families. Alexandra Rangel has more.
