Illinois State men’s basketball enters one of its most anticipated seasons in recent memory – and the Redbirds received great news on Monday.
ISU was voted first in the Missouri Valley Conference in the preseason poll – marking its first selection since the 2001-02 season.
The Redbirds received 34 of 46 first place votes in the poll and totaled 487 points.
Ryan Pedon and company finished last season with a 22-14 record and aim to improve. With roster retention and nationally ranked opponents, the Redbirds have their eyes set on putting the college basketball world on notice.
