Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker, who injured his left wrist in the second quarter of their game at San Francisco on Sept. 28, saw a specialist on Sept. 29, according to coach Liam Coen.

“We are in the information-gathering process with that,” Coen said during his Monday teleconference of Walker’s trip to the specialist. “We’ll know more after he has that appointment to be able to see what his status will be moving forward.”

Walker had two assisted tackles in 12 snaps at the time he came out of the game. Emmanuel Ogbah replaced Walker and had one assisted tackle and a quarterback hit in 43 snaps.

Travon Walker is enjoying good season

Walker, a fourth-year former No. 1 overall draft pick, has five tackles and seven assists. Before Arik Armstead’s strip-sack near the end of the game to seal the victory, Walker had led the team with two solo sacks and had four quarterback hits and knocked down a pass.

Walker has been among the most dependable Jaguars players during his NFL career. The 49ers game was his 40th consecutive start and he has missed only two games, both late during his rookie season in 2022.

The Jaguars had several other players injured in the game but there was no report on their status: Offensive tackle Anton Harrison (elbow), safety Eric Murray (neck) and offensive guard Robert Mekari (knee).

Harrison was able to return to the game.
