More than a dozen New York City restaurants were named among North America’s 50 best, including a Manhattan spot that earned the top overall ranking, according to a new list.
Atomix, an upscale Korean restaurant in NoMad, was at the top of the list of North America’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. The ranking featured eateries from 20 cities across the continent and the Caribbean.
Reviewers said the food and drinks from Atomix “are combined at such an elevated level as to forge a new narrative for Korean cuisine across the globe.” It offers a 12-course tasting menu which comes with a card detailing the dish’s ingredients, origin and inspiration.
Two other NYC spots cracked the top ten as well, both of which are French: Le Bernardin — a midtown restaurant perennially among NYC’s restaurants to feature three Michelin stars — at No. 9, and Le Veau d’Or, on the Upper East Side, at No. 10.
