Re “‘Definitely still chaotic’: San Diego relaxes trash rules, with service still up in the air for thousands” (Sept. 14): I’m a trained coder and it still took me three tries to fill in the city forms regarding my trash bin orders. I then found that the city had another delivery scheduled for a rental unit at my address that doesn’t even exist!

What will all the elderly who don’t have a computer or who don’t use the internet because of scams do on Oct. 1 (Wednesday) when they are automatically given the biggest and most costly of these bins?

It seems to me this entire project is designed to bill thousands of people for trash bins they don’t want or need. I think it’s the most blatant example of extortion I’ve ever seen.

This entire thing must be halted, the employees involved fired and our mayor impeached!
