TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal that will make Bukayo Saka their first £300k-a-week player.
Since his arrival at Arsenal, sporting director Andrea Berta has rightfully received a lot of praise.
Berta delivered several excellent signings in the summer, including the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze.

But addressing some important contract renewals has also been on the Italian’s agenda ever since he rocked up in north London.
And following Arsenal’s contract breakthrough with William Saliba, the Gunners are now close to agreeing finances with Bukayo Saka too.
Exclusive: Bukayo Saka set to eclipse Kai Havertz as Arsenal’s new highest earner
TBR Football revealed in September that Berta was making good progress with Saliba and Saka’s renewals.
And as mentioned, Berta has now finalised a new deal for Saliba which is worth in excess of £250k-a-week, making him one of the Premier League’s top earning defenders.
Chief correspondent Graeme Bailey also revealed earlier this year that Berta was ready to make Saka Arsenal’s highest earner, and that is now about to come to fruition.

Talks have been going well between Saka and Arsenal, and finances are now close to being agreed.
Including bonuses, Saka will become Arsenal’s highest earner and he’ll be the Gunners’ first £300k-a-week player, taking him beyond Kai Havertz, who currently tops the table.
Saka last extended his contract with Arsenal in 2023, and his current deal is set to expire in 2027.
However, the England international is set to soon put pen to paper on a historic contract for Arsenal.
Andrea Berta has alleviated any concerns Bukayo Saka had about Arsenal’s ambitions
Providing further insight into those negotiations, chief correspondent Bailey confirmed that Berta had reassured any minor concerns Saka had about the club’s direction.
Bailey shared: “I am told that Berta has been happy with talks with Saka and his people, they have been progressing since he arrived and he has been happy to make him their highest earner.
“One of the little concerns for Saka was the club’s ambition, which Berta understood but he feels their summer spending and their backing of Mikel Arteta has really shown where they are – they think they assembled a squad on par with any club in the world.
“And the fact Saliba is on board is huge, he has turned his back on Real Madrid to stay and the club now fully expect Saka will commit to the club before the New Year.”
An excellent few months for Arsenal, who are showing their elite credentials both on and off the pitch right now.
