1. A Mexican man is the second victim to die after shooting at Dallas ICE facility

A Mexican man who was among three people shot at a Dallas immigration field office last week has died, becoming the second person killed in the attack, his family said Tuesday.

The family of Miguel Ángel García-Hernández, 32, said he died after being removed from life support, according to a statement provided through the League of United Latin American Citizens, a civil rights organization.

2. Texas Stock Exchange formally approved by the SEC

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) formally approved the Form 1 registration for the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), paving the way for the new stock exchange to open sometime in 2026, the TXSE announced today in a press release.

The approval makes the TXSE the first exchange to be approved in decades, and the first major independent stock exchange launched in the U.S. since the NASDAQ in 1971. It will also be the first ever to be based and headquartered in Texas. 

3. USAA offering members no-interest loans in event of government shutdown

As the possibility of a government shutdown looms, USAA is offering a helping hand to members.

The San Antonio-based company, which provides services to members of the U.S. military and their families, said Monday that eligible members will be able to apply for no-interest loans and other payment relief options.
