The Bloomington Bison are the New York Rangers’ ECHL affiliate and, along with the AHL team Hartford Wolf Pack, play an important role in keeping the New York Rangers stocked with the best talent possible. 

The team’s first season was 2024-25, and they are hungry for their first Kelly Cup title. The Bloomington Bison are coached by head coach Philip Barski and assistant coach Jesse Messier who both found success with their previous teams. 

Bloomington has a rich hockey history predating the Bison, including the Bloomington Prairie Thunder.

After a season of learning the ropes, the Bloomington Bison are ready to come back stronger than ever.
