SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio is witnessing a troubling rise in ATM robberies, with at least 44 incidents reported across the city in the past four months, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The latest robbery occurred yesterday at a Bank of America on North 281, where an employee servicing the machine was pushed by a man who then fled with three accomplices after stealing the money.

The alarming trend saw three incidents in September and four in August, all involving attacks on employees.

When asked about potential connections between the crimes, SAPD stated, “Each incident is investigated separately. If during the investigation, evidence shows that the cases may be related, then investigators will investigate as such.”
