A grand jury indicted a man in connection with the September shooting of his girlfriend, her brother and her cousin in Phoenix, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Oct. 1.

On Sept. 13, police officers found three people with gunshot wounds at an apartment near 48th Street and McDowell Road in east Phoenix, Maricopa County prosecutors said in a news release.

The girlfriend reported to police that 31-year-old Daniel Cornell Hall showed up at the apartment, assaulted her and began to argue with her cousin, prosecutors said in the release. The girlfriend said she went to call the police and heard multiple gunshots.

Hall fled the location, but he was arrested shortly after, according to prosecutors. All three victims survived their injuries.

The grand jury indicted Hall on multiple criminal charges: three counts of felony aggravated assault with one count as a domestic violence offense; one felony count of unlawful discharge of a firearm; and one misdemeanor count of assault as a domestic violence offense, according to prosecutors.

Hall was ordered held in custody on $250,000 bond. His trial was scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence or abuse can call or text the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 and also access local services.
