FRISCO – The Cowboys’ Thursday practice report featured three starting offensive linemen on the injury report: Left tackle Tyler Guyton (concussion) and guards Tyler Smith (knee) and Tyler Booker (ankle).

None of those players practiced Thursday and while Booker isn’t playing for the next couple of weeks, it’s uncertain if Smith and Guyton will play against the Jets. Center Cooper Beebe is also on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain.

With Booker out last week, T.J. Bass started for him at left guard. But if Smith is unavailable at right guard, there’s a chance either Trevor Keegan or Hakeem Adeniji take over for him.

When it comes to Guyton’s position, Nate Thomas would take over. When Guyton injured his knee in training camp, Thomas became a surprise pick to start.

In the Week 4 tie against the Packers, Thomas played 17 snaps combined at both tackle spots. He got a few right at right tackle for Terence Steele and when Guyton went down, Thomas finished the game at left tackle.

“He did a pretty good job when he got in there,” offensive coordinator Klayton Adams said. “He’s been able to take some good, quality reps this week as well. One of the things that’s unique about Nate, for the situation that he’s in, Nate basically took every single rep at tackle during training camp with the starters. So I felt like he had a ton of room to grow and he got some good reps in the preseason games.

“When he got in there and played well and was able to be pretty firm in pass protection and didn’t really blink I wasn’t surprised by that. That’s what you’re hoping to see.”

Other injury updates

End Marshawn Kneeland (ankle) was added to Thursday’s injury report as a limited participant in practice. Linebacker Kenneth Murray (knee) was on the report a second consecutive day as being limited and defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus said he wasn’t sure if he’ll start Sunday. Safety Malik Hooker (toe) is out for Sunday and Eberflus announced Juanyeh Thomas will start in his place.
