As the temperature hovers around 90 degrees for the next several days, North Texans are likely wondering when they could feel some relief.

It’s unlikely to come in the immediate future, but scattered showers could materialize later next week, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. The highest chance of rain is forecast to arrive on Wednesday, but it is only expected to reach 20%.

That rain could potentially help drop temperatures a little though, with the high falling from 88 on Wednesday next week to 84 degrees on Thursday.

Before then, the weather will likely be more of the same. Highs are expected to hover near 90 degrees, with lows in the upper 60s, as clear skies are predicted to reign before the rainclouds could come.
