SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released a partial list of school districts being investigated after nearly 300 complaints were filed against teachers in connection to social media posts in the aftermath of political activist Charlie Kirk’s death.
According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA), a total of 281 complaints have been filed against educators across the state, with complaints alleging that educators have “posted and/or shared reprehensible and inappropriate content on social media related to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.”

News 4 San Antonio/Fox SA submitted an open records request to the TEA last month, requesting the list of the 281 teacher complaints and schools being investigated. On Friday, the TEA released a partial list of 127 school districts that were investigated.
Included in the partial list of school districts released is Comal ISD, Edgewood ISD, Jourdanton ISD, North East ISD, North Side ISD, Pearsall ISD, San Antonio ISD, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD, Seguin ISD, and Southwest ISD.
