  • October 4, 2025

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Former University of Alabama and Dallas Cowboys running back Sherman Williams was in the house Friday in Tuscaloosa.

Williams starred for Bama in the early 90s and played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1995 to 2000. He’s one of the few players to win a state title in high school, a national title with Alabama, and a Super Bowl with the Cowboys.

Williams signed autographs and promoted his new book at Baumhower’s.

“It’s a very rare occasion. To win one championship on any level is a special feat, but to win three on three levels but also on the highest level, so I’ve been blessed man,” said Williams. “That’s why I’m so thankful and grateful that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for putting me in a position to be surrounded by great people that was able to be teammates and get the job done.”

Williams will be at Baumhower’s on Saturday as well starting at noon. He now coaches high school football at Murphy High School in Mobile.
