The Dallas Stars finished off their preseason slate of games with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at American Airlines Center on Saturday afternoon.

Center Colin Blackwell scored the go-ahead goal for the Stars with a little over four minutes remaining in the third period.

Arttu Hyry, a Finnish 24-year-old forward who has spent the majority of the last season with the Stars’ AHL affiliate, opened the scoring for Dallas with a goal in the first period.

Jason Robertson scored at the beginning of the second period while the Stars were on a power play, to give Dallas a 2-0 lead, before Colorado responded with two goals to level the score in the final period.

The Stars finish the preseason with four wins and one loss. The sole loss came to the same Colorado Avalanche team that they beat on Saturday when they played them on the road.

New head coach Glen Gulutzan is hoping to continue the positive momentum from the preseason in the Stars’ 2025-26 season opener on the road against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m.
