NEW YORK — The Philadelphia-based drugstore chain Rite Aid has closed all its stores in New York City.

The store confirmed on its website that it has also shut down all of its locations across the United States.

“All Rite Aid stores have now closed,” read the store’s website. “We thank our loyal customers for their many years of support.”

The pharmacy chain still had a handful of stores located in the five boroughs, including one in Brooklyn and another in Grand Central Terminal. The company had been closing stores and dealing with losses for years before filing for bankruptcy in 2023.
