This fresh, locally focused lifestyle show highlights the people, places, and stories that make Northern Nevada special.
Airing every weekday ahead of the 2 News Nevada Evening Edition, “2 Plus You Nevada” features a wide range of content, including local businesses, dining, tourism, fashion, entertainment, community events, charitable organizations, and more, all built around the life and culture of Northern Nevada.
It’s a new direction for KTVN’s afternoon lineup and a return to community-centered storytelling.
The show is hosted by Sarah Johns, a familiar face to Northern Nevada viewers. Johns began her television career at KTVN in 1998 and spent more than a decade as a main evening anchor in the market. Most recently, she served as President and CEO of the Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, one of the region’s largest business networking organizations.
Her unique blend of on-air experience and deep community involvement brings both credibility and connection to the new show.

Johns has been married to her husband, Dave, for nine years. They have two elementary-aged children, Zac (8) and Stella (6).
While KTVN once aired a magazine-style program decades ago, “2 Plus You Nevada” is a modern take on the format, designed with today’s viewers and topics in mind. With original features, current events, and a strong local focus, the show aims to deliver an hour of uplifting, informative content every weekday.
