For the second straight week, the New York Giants have passed over recently signed kicker Younghoe Koo for a practice squad elevation in favor of Jude McAtamney.
The 25-year-old McAtamney signed with the Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Rutgers following the 2024 NFL draft. He has remained on the team’s practice squad with a roster exemption as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program.
McAtamney was also elevated ahead of a Week 4 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, in which he connected on two field goal attempts and one point after attempt (PAT).
In two career games, McAtamney has hit all three of his field goals and both of his PATs. He has one activation remaining this season.
The Giants also elevated linebacker Neville Hewitt from their practice squad. It is his third and final elevation. He was previously activated in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs and in Week 4 against the Chargers.
Finally, the Giants downgraded linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring) to out for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
