A Jacksonville man was arrested Thursday on 10 charges related to a domestic violence incident.

Jacksonville police responded to 106 Brookdale Plaza at around 4:14 a.m. Thursday for a report of domestic violence.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Kyle Allen Floyd, 34, of the home, and his domestic partner, said Capt. Christopher Funcke, with the patrol and field operations division of the Jacksonville Police Department.

Police said the investigation led police to identify Floyd as allegedly assaulting his partner and discharging a gun. No one was injured, Fence said.

Floyd was arrested without incident.

Police found narcotics and guns within the home, police said.

Through investigation, police discovered that Floyd had assaulted his partner. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Officers also discovered narcotics and firearms within the home.

The investigation also revealed that Floyd had discharged a firearm during the incident but no one was struck, Funcke said.

Floyd was charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm within city limits, assault by pointing a gun, three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, crime of domestic violence, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present, Funcke said.

He was booked in the county jail without bond.
