EDIINBURG, Texas (KTRE) – Former Woodville Eagle Darius Bean picked up his first career sack in Houston Christian’s 27-7 loss to UT-Rio Grande Valley on Saturday.
The redshirt-sophomore also led the Huskies in tackles.
Bean had seven tackles, 1 1/2 tackles-for-loss and one sack. In the third quarter, Bean sacked UTRGV quarterback Eddie Lee Marburger for an eight-yard loss.
Houston Christian (1-4, 0-1) will host Northwestern State on Oct. 11, while UTRGV (5-1, 1-1) hits the road to face No. 25 Lamar on Oct. 18.
