The Week 5 finale on Monday Night Football is a bit of a break from the norm when the Kansas City Chiefs head to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars enter this matchup on a roll to start the season, at 3-1, with a two-game winning streak intact. For the Kansas City Chiefs, this season started with them losing the first two games of the year before bouncing back to start their own two-game winning streak the past couple of weeks. The Chiefs need a win to get above .500 for the first time this season, while the Jags could use this win to make believers out of the doubters who question their start despite the record.

Kansas City started the season by dropping back-to-back games to the Chargers and Eagles. Some were quick to predict the Chiefs’ total downfall before they bounced back the past two weeks with wins over the Giants and Ravens. After a dominating victory over Baltimore last week, 37-20, KC seems to be back on track after a huge game for Patrick Mahomes. He completed 25 of 37 passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns. The offense was certainly in sync with the return of Xavier Worthy, adding a much-needed spark. Now they’ve got to keep that pace going against a tough Jacksonville defense that is only allowing 18 points per game, which ranks fifth in the league, while leading the NFL in turnovers forced.

Jacksonville may be the most unlikely 3-1 team this season, especially with a first-year head coach leading the way. But Liam Coen has proven to be a coach who’s ready for the spotlight and has this Jaguars team looking like one of the best in the AFC thus far. The defense is stingy, and on the offensive side of the ball, running back Travis Etienne is off to a great start.

Last week against San Francisco, Etienne rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, quarterback Trevor Lawrence managed the game, passing for 174 yards and a touchdown, while completing 67.7% of his passes. Jacksonville will need to continue this winning formula to beat the Chiefs and stretch the winning streak to three games.
