Even in the postseason, the Seattle Mariners can’t seem to clear themselves of weather concerns on the road.

Three things we’ve learned so far from Seattle Mariners’ ALDS vs Detroit

A rain delay is a possibility for Tuesday’s Game 3 of the Mariners’ American League Division Series against the Detroit Tigers. That is the first of two ALDS games scheduled to be played at Detroit’s Comerica Park.

The AccuWeather forecast for Comerica Park on Tuesday calls for “a couple of showers and a thunderstorm in the morning,” with a 65% probability of precipitation and 39% probability of thunderstorms.

The afternoon forecast is less worrisome: mostly cloudy weather and 61 degrees.

First pitch of Tuesday’s game is scheduled for 1:08 p.m. Pacific time, or 4:08 p.m. local time in Detroit.

Delays were a nemesis for the Mariners in the regular season, with the club going 1-6 in games that were impacted by weather, per Clutchpoints.

The Mariners had games delayed by rain at the home parks of the Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles, plus their Little League Classic meeting with the New York Mets in Williamsport, Penn.

In one road trip in August, the Mariners had three games in five days go into a weather delay.

The M’s tied the best-of-five ALDS at one win apiece with a 3-2 victory in Game 2 on Sunday night.

Radio coverage on Seattle Sports of Game 3 of the Mariners’ ALDS against the Tigers will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday with an extended pregame show.
