Firefighters were called out on Tuesday afternoon after smoke and flames were spotted in the North County community of De Luz.
Cal Fire said the fire is burning on Sandia Creek Road in “a remote area with difficult access,” with “a full air and ground response” en route. The brush fire has burned 4 acres so far, officials said; it is not believed to be threatening any structures at this time.
A large plume of smoke is visible from the fire, which is burning northwest of Fallbrook and east of Camp Pendleton.
