MCD
The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Orphan Master’s Son will talk about his latest book, The Wayfinder, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Dallas Museum of Art.
In conversation with Southern Methodist University’s Susan Ayotte Norman, Johnson will expound upon his epic novel, a myth-heavy historical saga set in the Polynesian islands of the South Pacific during the apex of the Tu’i Tonga Empire, which began around 950 A.D. The Wayfinder follows the heroic journey of a young girl tasked with rescuing her people from starvation, and her culture from erasure.
Attendees may secure tickets at the DMA for $56.50, which includes a hardback copy of the book. etix.com.
