CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago favorite George Wallace is back in town this weekend.

The comedian said he’s ready for a night of fun at City Winery Chicago.

“I come to Chicago once a year,” Wallace said. “I have the greatest job in the world. And I teach the young kids, make sure you enjoy your life, that you can live your passion. Look at me.”

When asked what he’s been up to lately, Wallace said he loves to shop.

“I have a problem, I got, what do you call it? Compulsive shopping. Hosea, I will buy anything on television,” Wallace said. “I get home; I just start opening boxes. I got shoes, at least 15 brand new shoes, how stupid I am. I wear the same pair all the time. This is a little bitty camera, and you hide it to catch people break into your house. Sometimes, you get old like me and forget what you buy, and I bought two of them. Don’t laugh at me.”

He was also on “Celebrity Family Feud.”

“We had a good time, that was so much fun,” Wallace said. “We won $25,000 for my charity, Smile Train – Operation Smile.”

Wallace knows when to come to Chicago.

“The most beautiful time to be in Chicago is in the fall, Oct. 12. That is on a Sunday. I say, go to church and get saved. Come to the show and start raising hell again like you always do,” Wallace said.

The 5 p.m. show Sunday at City Winery Chicago in the West Loop is sold out, but you can sign up for the waitlist.

There are still tickets for the 8:30 p.m. George Wallace performance available.
