SAN ANTONIO — Armando Flores, a former teacher and coach at Holy Cross High School, has been released from jail after posting bond following his arrest on charges of invasive visual recording.

Flores is accused of secretly recording a volleyball coach undressing in his office using a camera disguised as a clock. The camera reportedly contained an SD card with images of the coach and photos of students.

Speaking to WOAI/KABB, Flores proclaimed his innocence, stating, “I know the truth, and the truth will come out.”

He criticized the media for their coverage, saying, “You guys are for clicks, and I’m good with that.”

The arrest report indicates that Flores had told the volleyball coach the camera was intended to monitor students entering the office and claimed it did not work and had no SD card. However, a student reported that Flores confronted her about moving the camera and described details about her appearance, suggesting he had access to the footage.

Anna Ramirez, whose son attends Holy Cross, expressed shock over the allegations. “We entrust the school with our children. And just for someone to have that kind of allegations towards them is very shocking,” she said.

Ramirez noted that her son has felt uncomfortable since the incident, saying, “I’ve noticed he’s been a little different these last couple of days.”

Holy Cross High School released a statement expressing sadness and sympathy for those affected by the situation, describing it as a betrayal of trust.
