Texas-based Maple Branch Brewery is turning over new leaves with Branch & Bean Coffee + Roastery, a cafe and roasting operation inside its brewery, beer garden and pub in Fort Worth.
Customers get a clear view of roasting behind the bar of the wide-open cafe, which has its own street entrance plus a large entrance through a shared interior wall with the Maple Branch taproom.
The cafe also benefits from a shared kitchen, which turns out house-made syrups, fresh breakfast sandwiches, tacos and egg bites.
The space balances hanging and potted plants with sophisticated matte-black equipment on a white marble bar and muted juniper-green walls.
“We especially wanted to emphasize the European style and influence in our space and product, like we do with our beer,” Igor Stepczynski, marketing coordinator for both businesses, told Daily Coffee News. “The shared seating with Maple Branch offers a big beer hall vibe inside or a French countryside experience in our biergarten, with flowers, tall trees, our running fountain and lights. It’s very relaxing and beautiful, if I do say so myself.”
Founded in October 2020 by Allyssa and Stuart Maples — who sought to create a pet- and family-friendly community hangout centered on fresh, high-quality beer and food — Maple Branch Brewery today occupies 14,000 square feet inside and out in Fort Worth’s Foundry District. Twenty taps pour house-brewed beers.
The couple transformed former storage and office areas to create Branch & Bean, building on a passion for coffee that has long accompanied their love for craft beer and wholesome food.

“We use only the best ingredients for our craft beer and kitchen, and we wanted to expand that experience to another favorite drink of ours, coffee,” Stepczynski told DCN. “We started roasting our own beans a few months before opening to experiment with different bean origins and roasting techniques to make sure we hit the nail on the head for opening.”
Under a sparkling chandelier, coffees at Branch & Bean are brewed by the cup in a 5-group iRhea M5 automated pourover station whole espresso comes through a 2-group El Rocio machine. Coffee is roasted behind the counter in a Stronghold S7X roaster.
The cafe soft-opened in August, celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 6 and has spent every day since refining its practices and chasing higher quality. Whole bean bags are available in the shop, and coffee flights and live roasting events are coming soon.
“Our passion for the craft experience has taken us on an unforgettable journey with beer,” said Stepczynski. “We look forward to the same with coffee.”
Branch & Bean Coffee + Roastery is located at 2628 Whitmore Street in Fort Worth.
