Building on her already legendary career, Seattle Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike was named to her seventh All-WNBA Second Team on Friday, the league announced.
Ogwumike, who also has one First Team nod in her 14-year career, earned her second award of the 2025 season. She was awarded the Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award for the fourth time in September.
The former 2016 WNBA MVP and WNBPA president continued to rise through the all-time league rankings as the Storm reached the postseason and put up a worthy fight against the Las Vegas Aces — who are now one win away from a league title — in the first round.
Ogwumike is now sixth in points (7,305), third in field goals made (2,874), seventh in rebounds (3,307) and fifth in steals (668) in the all-time record books. She averaged 18.3 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game at 35 years old this season. She also averaged more than 30 minutes per game for the fifth straight season and appeared in all 44 games.
Throughout the season, Ogwumike was by far the most consistent contributor on an inconsistent Storm team. She had just four games with under 10 points, while posting 20 games with at least 20 points. Ogwumike was also the team’s most consistent rebounder, with 35 games totaling at least five boards.
Ogwumike was the undeniable leader of the 2025 Storm. Whether she returns for a 15th season is unknown, but this campaign showed she has plenty of gas left in the tank. Ogwumike is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, like most of the Storm’s roster.
The Storm had other players earn awards, including Gabby Williams and Ezi Magbegor who earned All-Defensive honors. Rookie No. 2 overall pick Dominique Malonga was also named to the All-Rookie team.
