An investigation is underway after police said two men were found zip-tied and shot to death in Philadelphia’s Holmesburg neighborhood overnight.
According to police, the men were found near the intersection of Solly Avenue and Enfield Avenue, right on the edge of Pennypack Park.
Police said the two men were found lying on the ground near the park. Both were shot once in the head, and their hands were zip-tied behind their back.
The girlfriend of one of the victims brought the two men to that location, police said. It’s not clear what they were doing there, but the girlfriend is now in police custody.
According to police, two other suspects were seen leaving the scene in either a teal or green minivan.
Police said they didn’t find any ballistic evidence at the scene where the men were found. However, a block away, police found one of the victim’s cell phones.
One of the men is 35 years old, and police said he is from New Jersey; the other victim has not been identified.
Police said investigators are continuing to work to determine the motive behind the execution style killing and find the two suspects who reportedly left the scene in a minivan.
