According to a recent Facebook announcement, country singer Luke Bryan has been forced to postpone two of his upcoming tour dates. The dates in question take place in Lafayette, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas. The two dates have been rescheduled to September 11 and September 12, respectively.

The move to reschedule his upcoming tour dates is likely directly related to Bryan losing his voice recently, as he noted in the Facebook post that he had to cancel the dates “due to illness.” The announcement of the postponement came shortly after Bryan had a particularly hard time during a show in Arkansas in which he lost his voice.

Fans have been pouring out love and support since Bryan posted to Facebook yesterday.

“Let’s just hope he recovers soon,” said one fan. “Cheer up, Luke. Health first, and then you’ll be ready to give your best as always.”

“Hope you feel better soon and stay cool!” said another.

Luke Bryan Was Forced To Postpone Some of His Shows Following a Rough Set in Arkansas

For reference, Luke Bryan recently kicked off his Country Song Came On Tour at the end of last month. He had only been on the road for a few weeks before he unfortunately lost his voice. Despite it being clear that his voice was giving out, Bryan didn’t want to disappoint his fans in Rogers, Arkansas. He showed up to the performance and did his best, but ultimately, one’s body will do what it wants.

Bryan struggled through the set, but didn’t give up. He continued to perform and even took to the mic to tell his fans what was going on, as well as to apologize.

“This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life,” Bryan said. “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time, I don’t know why. But… you guys keep showing up year after year to see me put on a show.”

Despite his voice being gone, Bryan continued until the end of the show. Bryan went on to tell the audience that Luke Combs once had a “weird night on stage” and he wouldn’t let his own shortcomings bring him down.

“I’m going to refund everybody’s tickets tonight,” Bryan said. “We’re going to keep doing the damn show, okay!”

Bryan did indeed refund the audience’s tickets, despite making it to the end of the show. It’s very likely that the move to postpone several of Luke Bryan’s tour dates was the direct result of him losing his voice. Hopefully, he’ll be able to recover in time.
