SAN ANTONIO – An elderly man has been arrested after hitting a motorcyclist while driving and fleeing the scene.

The crash happened around 5:00 p.m. on Friday near Rigsby Avenue and Bonair Drive.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the 68-year-old man was driving a Buick on Rigsby when he decided to change lanes. While switching lanes, he struck a motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to fall off.

The driver then fled the scene, but witnesses to the crash were able to get his license plate, which led police to the address where the Buick was located.

Authorities went to the home and spoke to the elderly man, which eventually led to his arrest. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
