SAN ANTONIO – Police are actively searching for a man suspected of assaulting a police officer.
Early reports are a man driving a dark colored car dragged a police officer during a traffic stop. It happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday on the 5300 block of New Sulphur Springs Road on the Southeast Side.
Police are searching the area with patrol units and their Eagle helicopter. Bexar County deputies are assisting in the search.
The suspect may be on the run with active felony warrants.
